Facings

There are many reasons for choosing insulation products with facings. It is generally done to obtain a vapour barrier, which prevents formation of condensation on the cold side of a construction.

ROCKWOOL Marine & Offshore can for this purpose offer a number of products faced with a reinforced alu. foil, which ensures a strong surface. In addition to this, ROCKWOOL Marine & Offshore can provide products with a glass fabric, which often provides a cheaper and lighter construction. These products are typically used for car decks, air-conditioning, plants, engine rooms, lift shafts or the like. 

Rockwool can be obtained with a lot of different surface materials. 

• Reinforced aluminium foil
• White glass cloth. In several different thicknesses.
• Black glass cloth. In several different thicknesses.
• Wired mesh – Wired mesh galvanic protected – Wired mesh of stainless steel. The mesh can be fitted on the Rockwool to suite the environment where the Rockwool is used.
